Designed to measure the temperature of flat surfaces, from platens to griddles, it's angled to provide optimal surface contact in hard-to-reach places. This allows you to also monitor equipment surfaces, not just cooking supplies, to guarantee your kitchen or facility is safely operating at all times. In addition, the bell sensor is designed to swivel, following surfaces closely for maximum contact and measurement accuracy.

The probe features an impressive temperature range, measuring from -40 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit in just 4 seconds. Such a quick response time is made possible by using a drop of oil on the surface being measured, which helps to conduct the heat. For easy, comfortable use, the instrument includes a phenolic handle. Because of its material, it's both lightweight and heat resistance, making it excellent for high-heat applications.
